The Lead Installation Engineers works closely with the Project Manager and builds strong relationships with the client and site managers. You will be required to work away from home on projects.

Job Role

You will be responsible for the running of installation projects on-site, liaising with the project manager, and supervising a team of installation engineers. Your responsibilities:

  • To lead the client installation:
    • Ensuring your team works productively
    • Working to project programmes
    • Working directly with Project Manager to ensure availability of materials and equipment on site
    • Updating plans and maintaining documentation
  • Co-ordination of direct labour, subcontract labour and sub-contracted works
  • Liaising with clients and end-users, M&E Contractors and main contractors
  • Planning/programming of works
  • Ensuring H&S briefings, risk assessments, and Health & Safety training are adhered to by all Camworth employees on site
  • Installation of all types of cable containment
  • Installation of Communications Cabling including Singlemode and Multimode Fibre, Cat5(e), Cat6, Cat6A & Cat7
  • Installation of Nursecall Systems
  • Tracking and reporting of variations

Required skills & experience

  • Experience in termination and testing of Fibre
  • Experience in termination and testing of Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A
  • Experience in installation of containment

You should also have strong project management, organisational, and literacy skills as you will be expected to document project variations, work to project programs, and follow company procedures and processes.
